Made.com

I had originally joined Made on a 6 month contract but liked the place so much that stayed for more than a year.

While just as Astley Clarke, the platform used was Magento Enterprise, I filled in as more of a web developer than a sole front end developer.

This meant that I had to learn how to write Magento upgrade scripts rather than just manually changing data in the Magento admin, and that I had to switch to an "Agile" mindset when dealing with the never ending stream of new requests and bug fixes which are the mainstay of massive e-commerce sites such as Made.

During my stay, I was part of the team that launched the French and Italian site of Made.com, and among other tasks was solely responsible for:

• - Wistia, Vimeo video player integration
• - ManaPro advanced filtering module integration
• - Responsive product image slider with lens zoom
• - Responsive email template builds and integration with Mailchimp
• - Admin panel training for content managers of the newly launched Italy & France sites
• - Building cms landing pages with custom breakpoints for Made's separate mobile layer
